Duration of headache: Most headaches will resolve on their own in a day or so.  Depending on the cause of the headache, for example migraine should last 1 day, subgaleal hemorrhage may cause headache that last up to a week., and a generalized post concussive headache is difficult to predict but usually lasts 2-3 days.

Head trauma: can result in head pain (from the direct blow) or even from injury to the cervical spine. You need to be on the look out for signs and symptoms of TBI and seek medical assistance if you have a personality change, disturbed sleep, lethargy, seizures, confusion, disorientation, difficulty with thinking, concentration, ability to do calculations or change in vision or other senses. Certainly: Any type of head trauma could cause a concussion, but please note, by definition, a concussion is loss of consciousness, loss or memory or a combination of both.  Headache secondary to head impact does not qualify.  However, maybe your head pain could respond to therapy.  See your doctor.

Go to ER.: Go to the emergency room.. You are having signs of increased intracrainal pressure. You need a head ct scan or MRI to rule out intracranial bleeding.. Do not delay!

Yes: Hopefully you have a pediatrician you can report these findings to.  He may need a referral to child neurology or psychiatry for exam and diagnosis. 
Head trauma or  a concussion could occur from hitting his head.

While it may take time and trial and error to find the right dose for a child or adult, if multiple people observe concerning behavioral side effects, it is important to alert the prescribing physician immediately.

I wouldn't: Head banging is one of the many amplifications of crying used to get your attention. It works well with some and self perpetuates.If you monitor the fit with peripheral vision and wait until it stops before looking directly at or interacting with the kid, it will often stop.This is common in preverbal toddlers. Reward the kid with more attention after they stop a fit than during to end this.
