Lump: This may be a benign fatty growth called a lipoma. Often there are others also. A physician,surgeon or dermatologist would have to examine you to properly diagnose this lump, however.

These occur commonly in the axillary region (armpit) and groin and usually present as red, tender areas of swelling that can become quite large.  She should see her doctor who can confirm the diagnosis, possibly with ultrasound if necessary, and if it is an abscess, it should be drained.
