No way: This can be very harmful for an infant. Simethicone is available without a prescription for bowel gas in infants. But often family members are mistaken when they think an infant&#x27;s discomfort comes from gas. Crying babies swallow air, which can cause baby to pass gas. But the gas is just a side effect of crying, not the main issue. An exam by a pediatrician is needed for a persistently fussy baby.

Weight loss food: Try to drink more water and eat more fruits and vegetables. Baking soda water does not cause weight loss.

can you please tell me, should a baking soda water paste work for a brown recluse spider bite?

Accepted Answer

Brown Recluse: It may be of help. The wound is cleaned and ice packs may be applied.  The extremity is elevated. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications may be used.  Ulceration may sometimes be treated or prevented with dapsone.   A tetanus shot may be necessary. Antibiotics may be necessary if the wound becomes infected. Large ulcerations could require debridement.

Just Listerine/Scope: Start with listerine, scope, or store bought brand oral rinses.  They are designed to do more than just baking soda, and are non-abrasive.  Baking soda will change the ph of your mouth to a more basic level.  That's not bad mind you, bacteria hate alkaline environments, but maybe use it after the rinse that has some alcohol in it.  Alcohol pierces the  membranes of bacteria, killing them.  Combo?

if i raise the alkilinity in my body will that help tp get rid of candida?  what do you think of mixing black strap molasses; baking soda & water?

Really doubt it: You have limits of increasing alkalinity in body since your kidneys kick the alkali out in urine and lungs neutralize the rest. Unless you mean raising the alkalinity of the urine. If so, you can do that with ice tea, lots of vegetables with or without baking soda. However,  I do not think this will clear candida. You have not mentioned where do you think is the candida infection in your body.

: It is OK to use antacids for stomach burning. Probably better than Baking soda is using Mylanta or Tums on an as needed basis. There also are medications which reduce acid, but that need to be used on a more regular basis. If your symptoms persist longer than a couple of weeks, you should see your primary care doctor or a G.I. doctor for advice. Good luck.

Mouth rinse : No harm in doing this.  Should brush your teeth with the baking Soda as well ever do often.

i have a canker sore & have tried applying baking soda paste (baking soda & water) onto the ulcer and it immediately starts bleeding. is this bad?

Ulcer canker sore: For an open wound the ulcer might become more sore with your paste and open and bleed. You can apply a drying med, over the counter, Camphophenique to it 
twice a day and it dries up the sore slightly faster than 
natural healing.

what is better for strep or a sore throat.... gargle with warm salt water or warm baking soda water?  i tried diluted poroxide water, too much foam.

Peroxide best: I recommend half- strength peroxide to my patients. Instead of gargling take half a mouthful and lean back and swish the solution for a minute or two before spitting it out. Repeat 2 additional times. Peroxide has antiseptic properties which is helpful  during an infection.
