i guess that perioprotect would need to be used 3 x's a day since 3 meals. i think bacteria reforms after one hour. so, what is its real value?

Local control: It's similar to when you have an infection, you don't have to take antibiotics every hour in order for it to be effective.  The biggest difference is that with perioprotect you are controlling the biofilm and bacterial colonies under the gum line and in-between the teeth at a local level rather than systemically.

Accepted Answer

Depends upon type.: In most instances, urine should not contain any bacteria, and the presence of bacteria might indicate an infection.  Sometimes when a urine culture is collected, a few bacteria from the skin or end of the urethra may "contaminate" the urine.  In such cases, bacteria may not indicate a real disease.  Need to know type and # of bacteria and whether there are accompanying white blood cells in urine.

Many!: There are many different bacteria and viruses that can cause gastroenteritis. That is why stool cultures and other studies are so important in confirming the diagnosis.

Vaginal infection : You probably have a bacterial vaginal infection  referred to as non specific vaginitis of the Gardrenella  Variety . Treatment with Fagyl - Metronidazole . Main caution with this dug is not to frink Alcohol while on the medication , other wise will get an Antibuse like reaction . See your doctor for a test and cultures and treatment

Normal in intestine: Klebsiella is a normal bacteria in the intestine; many people carry it all the time. When people get infections from Klebsiella -- such as urinary tract infection or pneumonia -- it's usually from the normal bacteria already in their intestines. It does not alter personality of behavior.

Probiotic  in blood: Do not worry . Our  bowel is filled with bacteria and only in very rare circumstances  like perforation does it get into the blood stream.. With regard to probiotics only rarely, very rarely   in immunocompromised  individuals has the probiotic entered the blood stream.

See below: Staphylococcus aureus can invade into blood vessels and spread to other body sites through the blood stream (hematogenous spread).  It can also spread by infection expanding into adjacent tissues ( contiguous spread).

No risk, no worry: Tetanus bacteria only cause localized infections, usually in the skin. They don't survive and are not carried "for an extended period of time". If you don't have a recent wound or skin infection, there is no possibility you have tetanus. Don't worry about it.

UTI: This sounds like you have a urinary tract infection and also diabetes. Please see a doctor as soon as possible for treatment for the UTI and to determine if you have diabetes. You should not have pus and glucose in your urine.
