Sleepiness, dizzines: Baclofen is a muscle relaxant that works in the brain to decrease muscle tone.  Therefore it commonly causes sleepiness, dizziness, weakness, confusion headache.  More worrisome issues include respiratory depression and nervous system depression.

See remark: Interstitial Cystitis is a syndrome (result of several conditions),it is poorly understood and hard to manage.

Various pills are prescribed and it is hit and miss to see which helps..Both ot the pills you mention may help.The pills may cause dry mouth,? Has your MD dilated your bladder ? It is  recognized both as a diagnostic and treatment procedure.There are other medications for this condition.

Altermative Baclofen: Other meds which affect GABA in the brain and spinal cord can help with muscle tension and spasm, such as gabapentin, which also pays a variable dividend in pain relief sometimes. A humble otc antihistamine, phenyltoloxamine citrate, used to completely relieve my spasm. U cd get it in an older formulation of percogesic, but sadly it's now Benadryl (diphenhydramine) as anti-hist agent now, which can help, too. Spasm.

missed a dose of baclofen at miday two days in a row, doctor agrees this is what has triggered withdrawal anxiety. as i go back to taking the drug properly he figures this anxiety side effect should subside. looking for some additional opinions?

It may help you to take in extra water or to use a remedy such as sennosides to help prevent constipation.
