Get checked.: Pneumonia is a chest infection.  Other serious problems can cause chest pain and wheezing with trouble breathing, including a blood clot in your lungs.  Get seen TODAY and get treated.  If you are having a lot of trouble breathing or your pain is severe, get checked NOW, and call for an ambulance, if you cannot get a ride to a nearby emergency department.

See a doctor: Without a great deal more information cannot possibly figure out what is going on, but yes, chest pain can conceivably be produced by a chest infection (although that phrase can mean many different things). You need to check in with your doctor and ask these questions to somebody who knows what is in progress.

Many causes: Please stay home, rest, drink fluids and monitor your temperature. There are many potential causes of a chest infection or chest tightness. One common cause is bronchospasm which may indicate asthma. Muscular chest wall tenderness may result from coughing and cause chest pain. Discuss ruling out COVID 19 with your PCP and watch for signs of worsening. These signs include shortness of breath.

chest infection with 2 rounds of antibiotics. meds are done a few days ago but still getting really bad chest pains. sharp chest pain when i move too fast. after i restfor about an hr it gets better. should i just let myself recover or go back to dr?

Probable Muscular: Localized heat and Motrin may relieve the chest wall related pain, but if you are experiencing worsening cough, fever or shortness of breath, please see the Emergency room.
