BABY HAS DEEP COUGH: You did not mention how old your baby is.But as a general rule in small children who have deep cough, you need to take your child for evaluation to your pediatrician.The cough can be from asthma, bronchiolitis or from RSV infection.These days there are no over the counter cough meds available.You need to find the cause and treat.So take your baby to the pediatrician or family physician.

By 6m they can sit up some  & the tongue thrust fades some. Simple purees can be offered from the table or prepared separately. Some infants may need a vitamin supplement depending on individual issues.

We have a  need to teach them the different skills needed to feed solids & most are ready @ 6m when they start sitting with assistance. This is a good time to start.

Gradually increase the number and volume of solids as your baby's doctor recommends.
