Might need doctor: A warm lump can be an infected cyst, especially if there is some red color to the skin. More warm, more tender, and more red mean to get to the doctor sooner.

Lymph node: There are many lymph nodes in the neck and back of the head that are often more noticeable because they are located where our fat pads don't hide them. If you feel around you should find several the size of a pea ; sometimes  bigger.They can increase to the size of a big peanut if stimulated by local factors, illness or vaccines.I would just monitor it or have doc see it during regular visit.

May be a lymph node.: I am guessing it's one of the lymph nodes in the posterior cervical chain; they run from behind the ear down the neck. Lymph nodes are found all over our bodies; they trap debris and help us ward off infection. This might also be a sabaceous cyst.
