are there any side effects of pregnancy or "belly" pictures? if a pregnant woman takes a picture does it cause any harm to the mother or baby?

Not : Not at all!  pregnancy is a very special time and many women choose to document this time with photos.  All a regular camera does is record the light reflecting off of the objects it sees.  It does not emit radiation like an x-ray machine or sound waves like an ultrasound in order to get an image.  Therefore, snap away!

my baby has a red bump on his stomach and some white dry patch looking spots on the back of his arm.  it doesn't look like eczem i can send pictures if necessary

It : It may be a fungal or bacterial infection, amongst many other things including eczema. Regardless instead of sending a picture, you should take the baby in to see his doctor. Rashes can be harmless or dangerous, it's very difficult for a mother to know, therefore a medical professional should be the one to make a diagnois or suspected diagnosis after an examination in his/her office. If necessary a dermatologist (skin doctor) can be consulted.

why are there red areas on an abdomen ultrasound picture?

Doppler: When the tech turns on the doppler then movement towards the probe will usually show up as red and away will look blue. These can be reversed.

my sin has sores on his legs and abdomen. increasing in number daily. starts as a bump then pops and a watery sticky clear liquid comes out. then forms a large round red sore. i have pictures. ?

Possibly infectious: An urgent visit to a dermatologist, infectious disease specialist or to a nearby emergency dept would facilitate a rapid diagnosis since the liquid from the skin lesions might contain an infectious virus or bacterium.  An accurate diagnosis can enable effective treatment for your son.

my 7 weeks daughter have very bad colic one of my friend told me about infant belly binder.i have never heard about this before. is it good for bubs?

Waste of time/money: People have assumed that colic was related to the intestines (colon) as far back as the 1700&#x27;s with an original text of pediatric medicine. It has little if anything to do with digestion . If you want to try this, fine, but make sure you have had the kids doc rule out treatable issues like gerd, uti&#x27;s, etc.

my babies umbilical cord fell off today(baby is 1 week old). do i put anything on it to help it heal faster?? the belly button is also outie.

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily: The umbilical stump is made to fall off - after it does there is often very little needed to facilitate it completing its healing. You can use a small drop of liquid soap (not antibacterial) to aid in the remainder drying out - but if you do nothing it will likely be just fine! If it is not healed by the 2 week visit - your provider will take care of the rest.

when can babies sleep on their belly?

Depends on age: There is a higher incidence of sudden infant death syndrome if babies sleep on their bellies than on their backs or sides.  It is recommended to prop them so they do not roll on their stomachs but when they get old enough to roll on their own yu can't help iit and then it is ok for them to sleep on their bellies!

i delivared 2 babies through c sec in 2 years gap.both the c sections are done in same place(abdomen).why both will be done in same place?

Read on please: It is the decision of the OB usually, to minimize scarring, as long as you have  healed well. The C/S site is pretty standard on the abdominal wall and uterine wall. Scar tissue can affect healing. Do ask your doctor for further clarification. I am just giving you a general answer and guide. Good luck and stay well.

Best: Will be to connect with his pediatrician who will be aware of all his other possible conditions, allergies, immunizations, etc. Be careful when sending pictures over the Internet, make sure it is safe from a privacy standpoint.

i am feeling a lot of movement in my abdomen. it feels exactly like the movements if a baby. i have had four babies, but i don't believe i am preg.

Movement: just to be sure do an in home pregnancy test if that is negative then it could be gas
