Depends on age: There is a higher incidence of sudden infant death syndrome if babies sleep on their bellies than on their backs or sides. It is recommended to prop them so they do not roll on their stomachs but when they get old enough to roll on their own yu can't help iit and then it is ok for them to sleep on their bellies!
