Do not re-treat: If azithromycin is retained more than 30 minutes, enough is absorbed to be effective. There is no need for  re-treatment.

Probably OK: Azithromycin in a single large dose (e.g. 1 gram) sometimes causes stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting. Reserch has shown that if vomiting does not occur within 30 minutes, drug absorption is complete and treatment is effective. For sure no probletm at 1+ hr after taking it. It will work well. But check with your doctor to make sure s/he does not want to retest you in a few weeks to be certain.

Either way: The oral forms of this medication can be given with or without food.

: Fluoxetine ‘s effect on levothyroxine absorption is limited. The medications that do seem to cause more problems with levothyroxine include antacids, iron, sucralfate, proton pump inhibitors, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, and phenytoin. Take your levothyroxine on an empty stomach; and take your levothyroxine 2 hours before or 4 hours after the offending medication.

Accepted Answer

No: After about 1 hour the stuff in your stomach has pass out of it. After 2 hours the pills have already broken down and have been absorbed. So I would not worry. 
However there is a small failure rate, even in without vomiting, and  if you have continued symptoms after a week see your doctor again.

Common side effect: Abdominal pain is one of the common side effects seen with azithromycin. Try taking with food and plenty of water to help reduce this problem. If severe abdominal pain persist/ worsened even when when taken with food call your doctor. Also report any watery/blood stools ( with or without fever) as soon as possible.

Yes: Both can cause upset stomach and diahrea.  You should take probiotic suppliments whenever you take an antibiotic, such as Azithromycin as this will greatly reduce the risk of serious diahrea. It won't help with the Lexapro (escitalopram) however.

ABDOMINAL PAIN.: Erytromycin related antibiotics can cause stomach distress but  that shold stop soon.If symptoms are still persistent you need evaluation to rule out peptic ucler disease and gall stones.

Accepted Answer

Possible c. diff: Taking antibiotics can cause  another infectious condition called c. difficile.  This can be life threatening as it causes dehydration and bloody diarrhea.   Please make an appt with your physician to discuss this.
