frequent urination, taking azo but urine won't turn orange after day 2 dosage, drinking a lot of water, could it be kidney failure?

No: Kidney failure leads to less urination, not more frequent urination. It sounds like this might be a urinary tract infection. See your doc for further testing.

(attending comment) the other concern would be if you had developed diabetes, most commonly diabetes mellitus.  I would agree with seeing your doctor for further testing.

i took 1 dose of azo otc but i am breastfeeding, how long should i wait to resume breastfeeding?

: It should be out of your system in 24-36 hours. Pl do not take any medication without consulting your MD when you breast feed.

hello! i took one dose of azo (2 pills) and i didnt realize that you couldnt take it while breastfeeding. i normally only feed my son at night , so will i be able to still feed him by 9 if i took the medicine around 10:15/10:30?

: No it would not be out of your system for 48hrs. Pl find another way of feeding. Pl- do not take ANY medicine while pregnant or lactating without consulting your doc. good luck

i took one dose of azo this morning at 9am and it is 11:15 at night now. i didnt know until after that it wasnt safe to take while breastfeeding. how long do i have to wait to nurse my baby? how long until it is out of my system?

: It will take another 48 hrs. PL dont take  DRUG otc or otherwise on your own when pregnant or breast feeding. Wish you and the baby well

It may as: You urinate.  Should be short lived and stop when you stop medicine. Check the package insert of the medicine, check with the pharmacist, and consider calling the maker hotline for further details.

: Azo is not for yeast infection. You might have side effects from it. PL stop it right away. Re yeast pl see a Gyn. In the meantime keep area clean and use any OTC anti fungal cream

See a Provider: May still have yeast.  May need to use an oral medication to get rid of it.  There are other vaginal creams that are more effective than Monistat.  Are you eating yogurt or taking a Probiotic?  Since yeast lives in the gut, this may also be helpful.  If you are still bothered, see a provider and check it out.

Yes: The dosing is 2 tabs by mouth three times a day as needed with a maximum of 6 tablets in a 24 hour period

: Azo stays in your system about 48-60 hrs, probiotic part even less so.
