Yes: Dairy products, calcium supplements can interfere with activity or absorption of some antibiotics, such as tetracyclines and some quinolones like cipro (ciprofloxacin). Macrolides like Azithromycin should be ok.

Accepted Answer

Ideally you should..: wait 2 hrs before ingesting food.  This is because food may reduce the bioavailability (availability of the antibiotic in the body) and therefore make it less effective.  If around 2 hrs have passed it's okay to have food.  If you ate a little sooner than 2 hrs, don't worry - it probably won't make a HUGE difference (so don't take an extra pill!). Yes: Medicines can be swallowed if you put you head down to your neck and this technique prevents choking. Putting you head back, opens the windpipe and causes panic and choking. If you swallow potato chips then a pill should be fine.

baby 7 months gp diagnosed viral throat infection medication zithromax, rinex+mucospect, adco mefenamic acid. 2 days now baby not feeding milk, only purity , but very minimum , i can't tell if it's throat or teething gums , please advise ?

Time to rethink meds: Any infant with a "viral" sore throat does not need an antibiotic and Zithromax can cause gastrointestinal irritation and poor feeding in anyone at any age. I see no reason for any of the other listed meds either with this diagnosis. The problem that will get baby in trouble is dehydration, which will happen if fluid needs aren't met. This may be from the meds.

No!: First, Azithromycin (zithromax) is not mean to be mixed with anything except the liquid provided by the pharmacy (when it comes to you as a suspension).  Mixing it with any other liquids than water could inactivate the drug, and then you're not getting the antibiotic effect you just pain a bunch of money for!  and you won't get better!
secondly, Azithromycin is not heat stable above 86 degrees.

Not indicated: Azithromycin is not a good choice to treat cellulitis un less you have a penicillin allergy. Augmentin, dicloxacillin and cefalexin are superior. Clindomycin is more effective as well especially if you had a recurrence after first course of azithromycin.

Not particularly: I would discourage use of Redbull period.
It can cause gastritis esp. with antibiotics and such drugs.
