It depends: The pressure is selected  with a CPAP titration which is part of a sleep study. A CPAP machine can be set with variable pressure to adjust to changes during sleep. Common settings are 8 to 11 cm of water.

Well: Oral devices do not work better for certain. If your daytime sleepiness is that bad, consult a sleep dr for help. You might need another sleep study to determine settings or maybe another kind of machine. Good communication with the primary doctor is so important.

40 or so: Re-evaluate the CPAP after as little as 20 lbs and certainly after 40lbs.  Most people actually can completely stop the CPAP a few months after the Sleeve.  Ask your sleep doctor if you can use a self-titrating machine at home while you are rapidly losing, or if he prefers to do a formal study after 40 lbs and again when you are at your new stable weight.

Not how it works: CPAP provides pressure to keep your airway from collapsing. Oxygen flowing is not the same thing.

Sleep MD: If you have CPAP you have probably been evaluated by a sleep MD. Return to the sleep doc for evaluation. You may need adjustment or a different type of CPAP. Sometimes CPAP not effective and surgery is indicated.

Have it adjusted: The company that supplies your CPAP machine can adjust the machine, but you may need to move it to another room, and extend the tubing to accommodate this change.

3 months: In general, it is recommended that you wait 3 months after any surgical intervention for complete healing to take place.Then, proceed with repeat sleep study.

You : You may wish to try melatonin 3 mg but take it at least 1 hour before bed. 
If you have sleep apnea, you may wish to consider alternative treatments for sleep apnea which is a conditions that is very important to treat.  There a dental appliances specifically made for sleep apnea, surgical options, nasal expiration devices that you may wish to consider or perhaps a lower CPAP pressure.  Discuss this with your doctor.

Keep airway open: It is used to keep the infants airway open, usually for a condition called laryngomalacia, where the airway has a tendency to collapse.

just got cpap, getting over bad cold. nose too irritated to use but know shop, doc, ins. watching for stats. performance anxiety from pressure! help?

Performance: anxiety of any sort normally fades over time.  We habituate to the new experience, like not feeling the watch or ring we wear after a short time.  I've seen C-PAP help many.  Peace and good health.  The machine is doing the work, not you, so its the one that can have the performance anxiety!
