Ectopic ?'s: Ectopic pregnancies can be "dangerous" very early in pregnancy, depending on where located and the dimension of the area (Fallopian tubes near the uterine junction have very small diameters, and can rupture). The bleeding is not heavy, but is different from "spotting". Early ectopics can be relatively asymptomatic. A serum HCG test is necessary, as the level of hormones are less in ectopics.
