Astigmatism: Means that the front surface of the eye is not perfectly spherical.  In other words, more like the side of an egg than an orange.   Most eyes have astigmatism.  If one has significant astigmatism, the vision will be blurred and the person will need glasses or contact lenses to see well.

Sometimes: Children who go on to develop autism can experience an acceleration in the growth of head circumference around 6 to 12 months of age. Not that their head was large to start with, but that it grows faster than expected.  However, the overlap between this and normal head growth is so large that it is not useful information as far as diagnosing a particular person.

This statistic comes from a website seeking resources to assist military families. It is called 'act today.' i can not find a citation for this statistic. I doubt that there is a definitive answer. Families with children with autism require special resources.

I think it's from: Both the delays in social development + perseverative interest in anything that's preferred. The simplistic language of pre-school shows is delivered in high-pitched, emphatic, repetitive " snippets", great for delayed echolalia. Age-appropriate shows have confusing complex language ; social interactions. Game shows have sound effects, short verbal interchange, rolling credits ; catchy music.

Unlikely : The mental impairments associated with lead toxicity are qualitatively different from the autism spectrum, so childhood exposure to these compounds while bad, would not yield autism. There is room for speculation on whether a mothers exposure to toxic substances in life could cause the genetic codon changes in her eggs that are later identified in autistic kids.
