Short of breath: Pulmonary disease is very common, obstructive pulmonary disease is a common cause, weakness of respiratory muscles and interstitial lung disease all do the same as well as a bunch of other things; the heart is just one of many causes of sob, anemia can do it too.

A physician would have to take a history, examine you in order to make a diagnosis, advise and treat you. Associated fever, sore throat would raise concerns about covid if you've been in a hospital where exposure could have occurred. Notify your MD and get instructions about exam,testing and treatment.
