Could be: But it could be many other things as well.  Do you cough or get short of breath.  Do you ever wheeze or have chest tightness?  What is the nature of your chest pains (where are the pains, how long do they last, what is the character of the pain), etc.  Cardiac issues could also cause pain after exercise (and during exercise); you should be evaluated as soon as possible (i.e. Today).

May need to be seen: The pattern sounds more worrisome than a bit of asthma. If you are having pain and raw feelings when you breathe you may have pleurisy, pneumonia or worse. If this is interfering any with your activities you need to be evaluated.

Pain with ice cream : It could be bronchospasm or esophagus pain. Slow down when eating cold things

Cough: Lots of possibilities including esophageal reflux,allergies and inhalant reactions among others. See a lung specialist to work through them if primary care doc limited.

Go to ER NOW!: Your chest pain and tightness can be lung-related (asthma, COPD, PE) or heart-related (heart attack) or muscle-related or acid-related (heartburn, reflux). Heart attack, PE, asthma attack or COPD exacerbation can all be life-threatening. You say you take isosorbide mononitrate which is a heart medication. GO TO ER ASAP for IMMEDIATE EVALUATION.

Not asthma: The description is more consistent with cardiac excitability potentially exacerbated by using your asthma inhaler and less consistent with an asthma exacerbation.  Chest pain is difficult to assess without a physical examination and more background information.  Please let your physician know about these new symptoms.

Must evaluate: Your symptoms indicate a loss of asthma control and need for acute management. Use inhalers as prescribed. Albuterol 2-3 puffs every 3-4 hours/max 8 puffs and oral steroid may be indicated. Use a spacer device with the inhaler and if you don't have one, please ask your physician at your earliest.
