See perinatologist: Its frightening to have an ultrasound that gives news that isn't perfect.  Oligohydramnios means that there isn't enough fluid around the baby.   You can help make more fluid by drinking lots and lots of water and getting enough rest.  You need to see a perinatologist to find out why. : All imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, what you described could be a normal cyst that forms as part of ovulation.

Follow M D  advice: Obvious you are going for follow up sono , yes woman of 48 always has to worry , most of ovarian cysts are benign , need follow up as you are doing now You must follow your doctors advice wants to do additional tests or procedures go for it , then you don't have to worry , do the right thing , if needed get even 2nd opinion

Difficult to say: The simple answer is yes, this COULD be cancer BUT there are several other possibilities, including a range of benign (not life-threatening) conditions. The answer to your question most likely will come from blood tests and/or a tissue sample. A 12cm is large and in most situations you would have a surgery to remove this. You need to discuss this further with your specialist.
