No data: Abpa is a very serious inflammatory disease of the lung caused by a mold. The treatment traditionally involves inhaled steroids, oral steroids. Recent data suggests that use of anti fungal agents could be beneficial. There may be a role for xolair as well. Aromatic oil inhalation is not a standard treatment for abpa.

Tattoos and Cancer: Studies show Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) exist in the atmosphere and are established human carcinogens. They are also concentrated in black tattoo inks. Tattoos introduce substances like this for life and the skin cannot totally rid itself of the PAH. However, exposure to PAH does not guarantee cancer. Melanoma and other skin cancers are found in tattoos but tattoo link not proven.

Home remedies: You can gargle w aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mix of chamomile tea w honey ; a small amt of lemon juice helps. For significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician ; get a strep throat test ; culture. Antibiotics are imperative for strep throat.

Any fruits and veg: Eliminating unhealthy foods is a great idea. Try making an open face sandwich of toasted bread, half an avocado and some oil and vinegar. Eat a sliced apple with almond butter. Use apple slices instead of crackers to eat spreads. Try a black bean burger instead of a hamburger. Bake tofu with pesto spread on top.

i'm starting the atkins 20 plan, but i'm not sure if i can have vegetables that aren't on the list. for example, carrots?

Atkins 20 plan: I can't think of any reason not to take carrots.

You might get some additional advice if you go online to "NuVal" and see the nutritional values of 100 listed items.

Vegetarians can tend: To reach for more junk food to make up for the foods that they can't have.  Some vitamins, especially b12, can lower because we get B12 primarily through meat.  Be very careful because your growing body needs nutrition.  See doc or nutritionist for proper food plan.  Vegan is even more of an issue.  I'm a vegetarian and get my protein primarily through dairy and protein powder.  Peace.

Trial and error: Different people get varying amounts of gassiness with various foods and drinks, because for example different people... have different digesting abilities, eat at different speeds and different quantities, encounter no standard ingredients list for most of the world's foods, take different medications, etc...
