i've read about using arnica to help bruises go away faster. how exactly does it work? is it safe to use? side effects?

Safe,MinmalSideEff: The active ingredients of arnica are sesquiterpene lactones, such as helenalin and 11,13- dihydrohel-enaline and chamissonolid. Also  pinoresinol, epipinoresinol, phillygenin, matairesinol, nortrachelogenin, and nortracheloside (six dibenzylbutyrolactol derivatives).helenalin and dihydrohelenalin, may be responsible for anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. **[P.S. Never worked for me]**

teen (15) on lexapro (escitalopram) and vyvanse. i hate the fact he's on anything at all. what warning signs should i watch for bad reactions or side effects?

Suicidal thinking: From the antidepressant and anxiety or irritability or cardiac symptoms from the vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) , including hypertension and rare psychotic symptoms. Hand tremors may be apparent. Best wishes. This combination has helped many people achieve in ways they never dreamed possible. The risks of treatment far outweigh the risks of no treatment. Make sure he is also in therapy.

is stopping hydrochlorothiazide suddenly dangerous? my other blood pressure pills warn to not stop them suddenly or there could be bad side effects. is it the same for hydrochlorothiazide?

I : I don't think that stopping it suddenly is dangerous.  Other medications such as beta blockers should not be discontinued immediately if you have been on them for a long period of time due to potential rebound from beta blocker withdrawal that can lead to elevated blood pressures and heart rates.  Other medications can also sometimes cause rebound hypertension with rapid withdrawal, but a diuretic such as hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) should not be dangerous.

Arnica gel: Homeopathic arnica gel used externally would cause no side effects with antibiotics or medicines.  If you are allergic to daisy-like plants, though, your skin could react with a dermatitis.

ive been using valsartan for hypertension reasons but had to stop because it causes me epididymitis, now i use  atorvastatin and its giving me vivid dreams. is there anything better i can use with less side effects ?

I remember and a patient who had 20 medications on her allergy list, but when you continue to ask her details about the side effects you come to realize she did not want any medication because she believed that all medication is bad for her. so she has been getting a steroid injection due to her hs ( hidradenitis suppurativa) is that injection for any chance going to give her any side affects of gaining weight and her period being delayed or any other side effects?

: This type of steroid treatment can give a patient an appetite increase. It is not the type of steroid that would interfere with menses. Long term side effects of steroids depend on dosing &amp; frequency and rarely are features of sporadic use.
