Apps: There is actually a pretty cool app called myfitnesspal available for free on iOS and Android (methyltestosterone). I used this when I had to lose weight safely for a sport by a certain time period. It allows you to calculate in calories and nutrients in, and your exercises are searchable. It won't be exact, but it gives a good estimate and it does work well. It's free, you've got nothing to lose... but weight!

No, but...: It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. So, ignore the hymen. Usually, only in cases of alleged sexual assault upon girls and women do we physicians engage in the careful examination of hymens, collecting evidence of physical damage to be used later in courts of law. In normal everyday life, people should not be "checking hymens" nor thinking about whether they are broken or not broken.

Yes and no: keeps the muscles around the area strong which reduces pain and increase function, but use low weight.

Not at all: It is good exercise cardiovascularly, for flexibility, and to tone up the buttocks and legs to do squats - even for a 12 year old.

Back pain: Lunges and squats really put a lot of stress on the low back. You risk converting a bulging disc into a herniated disc. Isometric exercises are better to build the core muscles. A weight lifting belt can protect the low back if you have to do the lunges and squats. Consult with a personal trainer to avoid further injury to the low back.

growing pains: if the need is not swollen, warm, or tender, I would not worry too much about it. Try some Motrin over the next 24 hours. If it is not getting better, see your pediatrician.

Quite a workout: This sounds like quite a strenuous workout! If your heart and lungs are healthy there should be no problem but work up to it and don't try starting it all at once. It won't effect your uterus but your periods may change with the exercise and weight loss that would be anticipated. Hope this helps.

i have 4 stitches in my leg on my shin, it's been a week since i got the stitches, is it safe to train legs now? ex; squats, lunges, leg press, etc

Not yet: There's fewer stem cells in the tibia especially in the mid portion so healing of your laceration takes longer 2 heal then the face which have many more. 2 start 2 early u can open up the wound. I would wait until the sutures r removed & b sure that it is well healed b 4 u start a lower leg routine.
