i went to get blood drawn and realized the phlebotomist did not wipe my arm with an alcohol wipe, can i get an infection? also, she put the needle in very far so can the needle have punctured my vein all the way through?

Yes and yes, but...: Infection should not happen because the needles are single-use disposable needles, and the skin is supposed to be cleaned off with alcohol first. However, many things are possible in life. Infection is more likely if a person has a poorly functioning immune system, such as some cancer patients during treatment. Fortunately, 2 holes in a vein heal up just like 1 hole in a vein.

Paradox: Some have mixed their alcohol use with other drugs. Some have a paradoxical reaction to alcohol. Many are in blackout and have no connection to a real perception of what they are doing or saying.

: Patient should also avoid taking paracetamol. After that it depends if the patient has acute or chronic infection. It would be prudent to consult a doctor if the patient has chronic hepatitis B as it is treatable. Acute hep B is self limited, except in 20% of patients who get chronic infection.

Dengue Fever: Acute Dengue Fever can impair liver function. Hepatic dysfunction can range from mild increases in transaminase levels to severe injury with jaundice and potentially liver failure and death. Adding in alcohol will increase toxicity to liver and may contribute to worsening illness.
