Look into it: Apple cider can be very acidic and irritating to a sensitive stomach. Generally it should be tolerated but if you have an ulcer or other inflammatory process of the upper GI tract, the cider could be causing the lesion to be symptomatic. Discuss this with your internist.

Get seen: You deserve a good physical exam and probably endoscopy. You may have achalasia, an ulcer, or any of several other treatable things. We aren't going to do anything more here.

Apple juice causes..: Apple juice causes gas and loose stools in some people. Doctors give children apple juice to make them go poop, to get rid of constipation (apple juice has sugar and sorbitol, which makes kids poop). Some other fruits and juices can have the same effect. Of course, one's stomach problems can also be due to other causes, so a doctor's evaluation may be needed.

Yuk: Apple cider vinegar? Yuk. Why would you take that? It has not been shown to have beneficial health effects, and may cause gastric problems. To lower blood pressure, instead use things that are supported by a tremendous amount of scientific evidence that they work and are safe!  Diet, exercise, and medications approved by the FDA.

From : From a medical perspective i believe the apple cider does not "eat the acid" from the stomach. He should take an over the conter anti-acid medication like Pepcid (famotidine) or prilosec. Also an evaluation by his primary care provider is in order. He may be dealing with gastritis or an ulcer, and may possible need a test called an endoscopy (camera is used to look at the upper GI tract). His doctor can guide him/explain the work up that may be necessary.

Cause?: It would depend on the cause of your bloating and distension.  If you have a viral gastroenteritis then it would be normal in the course of that illness to have bloating.  If the distension is getting worse, you are developing a fever or pain then it would require evaluation.
