: Usually replacing the aortic valve will not mean the blood pressure is normal. Medications may need to be adjusted-it is possible that the blood pressure will be lower and it is possible it will be unchanged after the valve is replaced. Not likely: Much more likely, as female and 90+, to be a urinary tract infection. She needs seen by her dr or an urgent care for test. It is not uncommon for absence of (noticed) symptoms in the geriatric set.

why would hospice doctors take my 96-year-old mother with afib and aortic stenosis off of blood thinners and she passed away. what would be the reasoning for that besides worrying about a fall?

: Hospice care emphasizes in keeping the dying patient as comfortable as possible. Most medications, either for treating the underlying diseases or for prophylactic purpose, i.e. blood thinner in your mother's case, should be discontinued. I doubt if your mom passed away due to discontinuing blood thinner.

Not likely: Moderate aortic stenosis (or was it aortic valve?) is unlikely to cause fainting.. More significant is the cardiac hypokinesis, which could indicate a heart attack.. Please review with your Dr or cardiologist !

Probably not: Aortic stenosis itself can cause increased heart size (cardiomegaly) as it progresses. Diabetes plus aortic stenosis does increase the risk of reduced blood flow to parts of the heart. This can lead to reduced motion (hypokinesis). Severe asthma can cause enlargement of the right side of the heart, but if you have your asthma under good control, this is not contributing much to your situation.

Yes and yes: You can have a baby if you have aortic stenosis.  Your doctor would need to know this and take certain precautions.  Can you (normal) have a baby (with: who has) aortic stenosis?  Yes, there is a type of aortic stenosis that could happen in babies rarely.  Talk to baby's pediatrician.

Symptoms include, passing out or nearly passing out, shortness of breath, water accumulation and fatigue.  Symptoms depend on severity of the narrowing of aortic valve.
