Tvar replacement: You need to see your cardiologist who put the valve in to make sure it is working.  The whole situation has to be rechecked.  Once the heart issue is worked out you can check other things.  Get in to see the doctor early this week. NGOs luck and feel better.

Huh?: Do you know you have an aortic aneurysm?  If so, speak with your doctor about your options as this is an emergency.  However if not, most likely you may have spine issue either facet joint pain, herniated disk or even a muscle trigger point or pain.  Once the aneurysm is ruled out i would see a spine specialist to evaluate this further.

Aortic stenosis: A systolic murmur in aorta with sob and chest pain- most likely is aortic stenosis. Needs a cardiology evaluation with an echo to find about the severity of stenosis and then plan appropriate treatment.

i have some light heart problems: palpitation, heart flutters, chest pain, an enlarged aorta (not to the dangerous level). can intermittent fasting (i want to do it when i don't feel hungry and probably once or twice a week) harm my heart?

: You have a number of abnormalities that warrant a cardiac evaluation as soon as you can arrange for it. Heart irregularity, a dilated aorta and chest pain require a detailed history and further evaluation. You have not provided an adequate history including a family history . Did you ever have any chest pain. Anybody in the family with aortic disease or Marian’s syndrome?  Get yourself evaluated!

Needs expert eval: Aortic valve stenosis and chest pain, if it is angina, is an ominous combination.  Angina means that there is pain related to inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle to meet the needs of the heart.  In as, the work being done by the heart is high due to the obstruction, and there is potential for blood supply to be limited.  Find an expert is structural heart disease to evaluate your symptoms.

Cardiologist: Need to see your cardiologist stat. An echocardiogram and depending on findings and symptoms  perhaps cardiac catheterization may be needed. 
If the severity of the stenosis has progressed to critical or if older person concomitant coronary artery disease has developed, surgical treatment inminent. Critical aortic stenosis may result in sudden death, stroke or permanent ventricular injury.

Severe Pain: Stabbing pain in the middle of the back  must be evaluated for the possibility of aortic dissection - separation of the layers of the wall of the aorta. This could be potentially life threatening. Routine tests to evaluate the heart do not screen for this. Ct scan or MRI  are usually needed.

ct report shows less the 4 cm anyerusm in the root thoracic aeorta. i suffer from anxiety/every chest pain i get i fear it's rupturing. any advice ?

Accepted Answer

Low risk: While this is nothing to be ignored, the chance of rupture at this size is very small. It is important that it be followed regularly so that if it enlarges, it can be repaired before it gets to the size where the risk of rupture is greater.  This is especially so if you have marfan's syndrome. Talk to your doctor about your anxiety and see a specialist if you have not already done so.
