can anxiety and stress cause twitching just in my bicep. it is a fasciculation not a fibrillation. could it be anything more serious?

Of course: Anxiety symptoms are not a sign of illness, they are the mind's ability to produce the "flight or fight" response which gives rise to many physiological changes include body pains, parasthesia, dry mouth, aphasia, tremor and sweating. Depending on the cause of your anxiety symptoms, your health care provider can recommend appropriate treatment.

Various causes: A muscle twitch is an small local involuntary contraction of muscle. It's usually not a symptom of a serious illness. Sometimes it occurs after muscular exertion.Tension or anxiety can cause twitching. Magnesium deficiency is another cause. I don't know why eating would cause it.

Pain from internal disorders may be felt as "Stomach Spasms" but don't cause actual abdominal muscle contraction.

off geodon (ziprasidone) 4 months but still have terrible anxiety and occasional muscle twitching.  fluttery feeling in my chest.  will these go away ever?

Anxiety help: Without any weakness over that time frame, the Neuro is right - ALS is not likely. But you do feel worried and a good Health Psychologist might help you as you investigate. They can evaluate the emotional part and refer you to physicians w/ their impressions of the physical part. That's a bit like having an attorney. If the Dr didn't mention MS. I don't want to worry you, but that's worth a nod.

emg, ncv, mri, mra, bloodwork all negative. neuro exam negative besides bfs syndrome and anxiety. tongue twitches when resting in mouth should i be worried it happens once or twice a day. is this norm?

BFS: If your EMG study was done by a competent person of three limbs and the face, then i agree with the diagnosis of bfs and you need not worry.

Muscle twitches: and anxiety can be due to low magnesium.  Your doc can measure your magnesium level and you can purchase magnesium supplements at the health food store.  Jigsaw magnesium is a good brand name. Peace and good health.  2-3 cups of coffee sounds ok but taper off and see what happens.

We need REM sleep: (rapid eye movement - dream sleep) to blow off psychological stress.  W/out it we become anxious and short-tempered, even hallucinate if deprived long enough.  See your doc or a mental health professional to address your sleep deprivation.  Peace and good health.
