very bad anxiety - usually really bad when i go to dr. as a result my wbc is always around 8.5-10.5, for years. i want to see what my normal wbc is but my anxiety keeps it high. is this bad for me? what can i do to lower it?

Wait to worry!: Your anxiety is without a good basis and it is self generated.
You can not alter the results of your blood tests with any kind of anxiety. Moreover your WBC count is just fine. Why are you even getting your blood counts checked?
My advice: wait to worry , meaning you should only worry after you have found a real problem...not ahead of it.

on may 22nd, 2013 i had a 9.9 wbc, and on april 28th, 2014 it is 3.4? i guess i had mono a year ago, but why is it still low? stress? anxiety?

White blood cells: Any stressor (stress, infections, poor sleep, poor diet) can affect the white count number, with dramatic changes in short periods of time.  The total white count is not that helpful by itself, but it can be more helpful with knowledge of the differential (percentages of types of white blood cells) in assessing someone's ability to fight infections.

None: White blood cells are not affected by anti-anxiety medicines, usually. It is true that any medicine can result in an extremely rare idiosyncratic bone marrow suporession -- usually leucopenia.  But this would be exceptionally rare.

i have an elevated wbc at about 11. i do smoke and have thyroid disease and anxiety. i did see a hematologist and was cleared  but i would like to kno?

Probably you: I'll assume that no abnormal blood cells were present. This is probably just you. The smoking and the stress of going to the doctor can rise your wbc. Life's too difficult already without worrying about "the numbers" on lab slips. Best wishes.

Yes : In certain cases increase in WBC can be reactive and as a result of stress ... If you don't have other signs of infection like fever etc you can be watched and another blood count in few weeks for re-evaluation.

wbc has risen from 8.1 to 15.4 in under 6 months, what could cause this? i also have fatigue, anxiety, depression, weight loss and joint pain.

Many casues: Unfortunately the list of possible causes is HUGE.  Best to see and discuss with your doctor possible causes, have thorough medical history and examination and then systematically attempt to prove/disprove possible causes. i have ibs, anxiety, depression, fatigue, migraines, hand tremors. high wbc and sed rates for years. antidepressants don't help, no answers. ideas?

Try some non-med : Treatments. Talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine ; alcohol (or  moderate). Try qi gong, tai chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, yoga, exercise program, deep breathing exercises or progressive muscle relaxation.

Here are some...: Mental events will not directly cause physical damage to the body including urinary tract including kidneys. So, stress and anxiety should not directly cause pyuria, i.e., wbc in urine.
