how does one know if they have anus skin tag? its painful, irritating and feels like a bump that i must push all the time. how do i treat this?

First diagnose: Before treatment you will need to be examined in order to secure a diagnosis. Hemorrhoids and or rectal prolapse are to be considered as well as skin conditions other than skin tags are possible. Talk to your PCP first.

: Without an exam it is just guess-work. Pl see your doc and get proper treatment. In the meantime you can apply otc cortisone  cream to reduce itching

Most likely: Can be a thrombosed hemorrhoid or a sentinel pile--especially if accompanied by a history of constipation, excessive pressure to move your bowels. A physical examination would be in order, however, to determine exact diagnosis.

See a Dr.: Not possible to remove yourself without danger of injury or infection. See a Dr for evaluation and treatment. Since it is dark colored, it may need to be sent for pathology to rule out melanoma.

Skin lesions: These may be warts, they need to be evaluated, you may have a transmissible  sexual disease or some may turn malignant, please see a dermatologist.

Bumps in the groin: Check with your ob/gyn to make sure they are just skin tags. Of if you have been sexually active they could be something else. Just get it checked and get some piece of mind. You parents do not even have to find out. You can have them sit out on the waiting area while you talk to the doctor.  You have to sign a release  to get anything sent to them. Good luck. Take care.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. What you described suggests anal warts. It would be prudent to see a doctor.

Consider evaluation: Consider seeing a doctor and have an examination. Besides a skin tag, you may have an external hemorrhoid  or a pilonidal cyst which may be either infected or incarcerated.
