It depends on what : The rash is. If you have hives or an itchy rash - Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may be helpful.

No: Antihistamines are generally not recommended for infants. Please see your GP for an examination and treatment. In the meantime please keep moisturising the skin with simple fatty cream

the kid  had some reaction to tobral drops. agreed to stop that and give antihistamine and a cream for rash.  however, the child continues to have eye watery eyes and eyelids who stick together. can we go to the sea next monday (x 1 week) like that?

Assess:  Recommend that if your child is still symptomatic, that he been evaluated by a medical provider who can offer care and determine if the child is fit to go to sea.

I'm concerned.: There are three possibilities.  (1) it's not chicken pox.  (2) it's chicken pox but your child's immune system isn't working correctly due to a congenital immune defect.  (3) it was chicken pox (aka varicella) but there is a secondary infection.  The most severe of these are caused by the same streptococcus ("strep") that causes sore throats.  See your doctor.

since i had the covid booster last november, i developed spontaneous ucitaria. the rashes have subsided but i have began getting very itchy feet and hands. my only relif is antihistamine. its been this way for 5 months?

: You are probably one of the unfortunates who are suffering a prolonged side effect of covid-19 vaccine. Because you no longer have urticaria any more and only having itchy hands and feet so I suggest using lidocaine 4% OTC for those sites as needed if you do not want to take antihistamine. If you still prefer antihistamine, you should use fexofenadine (allegra 24) for less drowsy, sleepy effect.

Be cautious: It sounds like you may have cold urticaria.  Antihistamines may help but be cautious because severe cold reactions may not be limited to skin rashes.  Check with your dermatologist.

Depends : It depends on your individual body.  Some of my patients find Benadryl (diphenhydramine) works well but they get quite tired after taking this .  Others find zyrtec works well for them and can be less sedating .  Still others find Allegra or Atarax better for them .  So you may have to try several of them to see if it helps your condition.

Several questions?: Is it related to foods or medications? Is it the first time? Did you have any difficulty in breathing? At any rate, you need to see your doctor as you may well need another medication and possibly low potency steroids for a short period, good luck

Urticaria: Urticaria refers to a group of disorders affecting adults and children, in which red patches and weals occur in the skin. A wheel is a swelling of the surface skin. 
The skin swelling seen in urticaria is due to the release of chemicals such as histamine from mast cells in the skin which causes small blood vessels to leak. Treatment is with antihistamine or avoidance of the causative agent.
