Many things: Actinomycosis, nocardiosis, tuberculosis, fungal infections, immune deficiency states.  First you must find out if these are truly infections, and if so, what is the causative organism?  A pediatrician or a pediatric infectious diseases specialist may be very helpful.  Hope your child is better soon.

Lymphadenopathy: This is incredibly uncommon, assuming the diagnosis is correct. In almost 50 years of doing infectious diseases practice have never seen E. coli do this. If actually correct you need more thorough evaluation and excision of the lesion and prolonged antibiotic treatment along with assessment of your immune function. We all have nodes: Whether or not a lymph node is called swollen depends on the size of the node and the average size of nodes in that part of the body, in people of that age group. A node about the diameter of a dime may be called enlarged, and one that is half the width of a dime is called normal sized. An in-person evaluation by one's primary care doctor can help decide whether or not there exists a problem.

Not necessarily: An enlarged lymph node is not necessarily normal.  Has it recently enlarged?  are they painful?  It is possible that you are describing salivary glands and not lymph nodes.  Recommend seeing a physician for an evaluation and to rule out serious occult problems.

Yes: An infection of the teeth can cause the lymph nodes to swell.  I would suggest seeing a dentist as soon as possible because things will only get worse and you could end up needing a stay in the hospital because the swelling can prevent you from breathing.

Wait : Studies show that a full history and physical /focus head and neck /thyroid indicated. Ultrasound is done first and lab work if indicated then referral to a specialist in this case ENT. How large is it?: Many lymph nodes, once enlarged do not shrink that much. If it is not hard or enlarging, should be ok.
