No: Avoid ingredients you may be allergic to.  Consider moisturizers, aveeno (oatmeal) bath oil and witch hazel to manage the itch until you see a doctor.

Itchy!: You need a complete medical work up including blood work to determine why you are itching an allergy work up is also worth while. In the meantime you might try taking oatmeal baths.

How long?: If this just started, think about anything that you have recently changed, such as your laundry detergent, fabric softener, shampoo, hair dye, etc., etc. If you have been outside a lot it could also be something airborne, such as dust, pollen, or dried leaves. Don't rule out your soap and body lotions either - "unscented" is not the same as "fragrance free".

Xerosis - dry skin: Dry skin is common in people living in northern climates where home heating during the winter results in very low relative humidity. Interventions that may improve xerosis and related pruritus include: 
●Use mild cleansers – Use Dove, not Dial. 
●Routine use of skin moisturizers – Vaseline and lotions w/ humectants such as glycerin, lactic acid, or urea. 
●Avoid hot showers. 
●Use a humidifier

everytime i take a bath or shower after i come out my skin itchis even if i just shower with water only without using any soap or shower gel. i still get itchy skin, mostly upper back, arms, burms and legs. what can i use to stop it?

Try cold shower: Different people have different sensitivities to hot and cold. Try taking a cold shower.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

i have been having extremely itchy skin. starts on hands and feet. sometimes on the rest of my body.  there are no marks to show any signs of rash.  that is until i claw myself to death. wondered if it may be a sign of diabetes. never had this before. lotion does not help. i have not changed any kind of soap or shampoo or detergent. i can take a benadryl and it will stop.

Scabies perhaps?: Extreme itching MAYBE DUE to a mite which causes Scabies. It is not due to diabetes.
You have to use a topical ointment from the pharmacy to stop it.
You can ask your pharmacist for available meds. Or call a doctor and
get a prescription medication once and done head to toe topical to stop the itching. 
It is common and easily treated once you have the correct diagnosis.
