Boil: Warm compression is a commonly accepted and advised treatment modality for superficial skin infections.  Warming a washcloth and compressing the area for 10-15 minutes four times per day will help the lesion heal or drain more efficiently.  Sometimes antibiotics or surgical drainage is necessary.

Burn: Yes that is a good thought if there is pus coming from the burn. Otherwise keep it clean and cover the burn and it should be fine. Some use aloe vera to ease pain and promote healing.

Sore eyes: Could be! or might be due to eyes being washed out. Contact eye doc, may need a steroid or nonsteroidal antiinflammatory for a few days to get relief.
