No : CVID patients have are prone to repeated infections. Usually these are sinopulmonary infections. In addition they have low IgG levels in addition to low IgA levels.

IgA deficiency: Iga is an antibody, so a deficiency of IgA means your body is having trouble making that type of antibody. Iga deficiency does not cause you to be unable to make other antibodies.
