May not be related: It may not be related to your procedure. Usually the sedation given during colonoscopy wears off pretty quickly. If there is any associated abdominal pain or distention you may need imaging studies. Contact your doctor if symptoms persist.

Normal: Nausea is very common with colonoscopy prep.  You can take antinausea meds or take the prep more slowly.

Chronic diarrhea.: Sounds like the colonoscopy was needed to explain your symptoms.  The polyp is very likely benign and was an incidental finding.  It is not causing your symptoms. In the absence of any other significant finding on studies or colonoscopy,  you probably have diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome.

Probably OK: This is a relatively low-grade temperature. It is impossible to know for certain if it's normal without a detailed history and physical examination.  If you are passing gas, and not having escalating abdominal pain, you are probably doing fine. Have a low threshold for calling the doctor who performed your colonoscopy if you have further questions.

how long after having an endoscopy&colonoscopy (at the same time) & they also take a biopsy are you allowed to eat? also will nausea be felt after?

See below: Nausea from these procedures is not common. You will be able to eat a few hours after the procedure, may be even sooner. As soon as you recover from the sedation and have normal swallowing reflex, it will be safe to eat.

is hyperkinetic gallbladder a recognized diagnosis? hida scan result 97% w/ ruq pain and nausea for 2.5 months. u/s, egd, colonoscopy, and labs neg.

Depends: It can be a problem but it is less certain that removal will lead to resolution of your symptoms. If your symptoms got worse during the hida, that is a good sign that you may have relief with cholecystectomy.

had colonoscopy wed of this week. when does the effects of the meds given wear off? versed, propofol and some nausea med. colonoscopy was negative!

Usually quickly. : These meds typically wear off in a matter of a few hours (can be significantly longer if you have kidney disease) but you can feel groggy for a day. You should be back to normal the next day. If not see your dr.

i had a colonoscopy cuz of nausea,bloating,cramping,diarreah.small polyp found,awaiting biopsie. what r all the diff colon diseases?

Too big a topic: Can't answer "all the colon diseases" in this small field. The large categories are infectious, malignant, inflammatory, drug-induced, and inherited. The biopsy result of your polyp will tell you what kind it is and therefore what category it falls into. Someone your age usually has benign (non-cancerous) polyps that are found incidentally while a colonoscopy is being done for other symptoms.

i had an egd for nausea and burping and chest burning in august 2022. nothing showed up. he did not see anything. i take prevacid and it has not really helped. have had heart tests, egd, colonoscopy. no reflux on egd. could this be symptoms of anxiet?

: It could be anxiety. But, there are other tests for reflux that can be done to be certain it is not reflux. If GERD is diagnosed, there are other meds that can be tried since Prevacid is not helping much. So, go back to your GI doctor for a follow up visit to see if he/she can test you further for reflux.
