is it possible to catch up to ones genetic height potential if one suffered from mild anorexia during puberty? i had a mild ed from 14-15. i have since grown 8cms, and am still growing at 21. could this mean im catching up to my height potential?

: Malnutrition nutrition can stunt your growth with something like anorexia. you could still achieve your genetic height potential with healthy diet.

if you develop anorexia before puberty (causing delayed puberty), after recovery, will your breasts ever reach their full potential size?

Maybe: If the anorexia occurs after breast development, the fat loss in the breast will be replaced during recovery. Hard to predict if it will be the same amount if no anorexia. If the anorexia occurs during breast growth, then it could affect duct and gland growth.

Yes: If bone age is 10, then yes she has lots to grow. The grow plates have not fused yet.  Keep her on treatment, use a multidisciplinary team of doctors. Very important.

Possible: Late development is possible, and with the history of anorexia, which can affect your hormone levels at the time, which now have normalized, your breasts appear to have matured.  Hope this helps.

Yes: Puberty as a transition requires a variety of nutritional inputs to support a rapid growth rate and reshaping of various body structures. As such, undernourished kids can delay the onset of slow the transition for quite some time. Some anorectic females will never start menses or stop them alltogether until nutrition improves.

Breast development: Breast development also is dependent on estrogen and progesterone. Typically one sees breast budding as the first sign of puberty, and the period as the last sign. Breasts will continue to develop. But not all women develop large breasts. Some women have little or no development. If you are concerned please see your gynecologist.

You would not even think of starving your pet & yet you starve yourself.  Pros: none.
