A concussion : Is nothing to fool around with. She needs to be evaluated right away by her doctor or an emergency room to confirm or deny that she actually has a concussion. If she truly has one then I would postpone the extraction of her third molars until she receives medical clearance.

Depends: This would depend on whether you have completely recovered from the concussion.Generally most people recover from their concussions by 6-12 weeks after the injury.The way to tell is if all the symptoms of the concussion have resolved-ie. Headaches, dizziness, trouble thinking or focusing, nausea.If they haven't you may need brain imaging first to make certain there is no structural residual problem.

is it safe to take vicodin for a concussion? i have vicodin from a recent surgery and my headache is awful.

Vicodin: Narcotic medications are certainly not the mainstay of concussion treatment.  See your physician for concussion work up and treatment.  Pain medications can mask serious problems not only cognitively but intracranially.

it's probably best for your to see or talk to a neurologist who may be better answering this questions for you, to see if surgery recommended, and if so, if you will quality for it.

OCD: is an attempt to control the uncontrollable in life through repeated thoughts and behaviors.  There are a combo of factors and some mystery as to its cause.  These include genes and personal history.  It is likely that the trauma you have been through contributes to your OCD more than the surgery itself.  Please see your doc and then a clinical psychologist who specializes in anxiety disorders.

Depends: This depends on the exact nature of your injury and surgeries.  Headaches of all types and characteristics after a head injury are common and often a persistent problem.  I would highly suggest that you seek care with a neurologist with special interests in headaches.

Not necessary: A paracervical block is an injection of local anesthetic (numbing medicine) around your cervix. Some doctors may choose to use a paracervical block while removing an iud. Others believe the injection itself is just as painful than taking the iud out. Typically, no anesthesia is needed for removing an iud.

Accepted Answer

Multiple causes: Many possible causes from an aesthetic wearing off to allergic reaction to an aesthetic or pain medicine or to tape or other devices used during procedure. Also pain and or anxiety may play a role. Any skin changes or hives? Any fever? If persistent would contact doctor and check on medications used. May want to take a picture and send it to your doctor if it doesn’t pass fairly quickly.
