Anemia and: swelling of your feet and ankles probably not related. Swelling could be due to right heart failure or venous insufficiency or  orthostatic edema or blood clot in the legs   or liver and kidney disease.  See your doctor.

Depends on cause: Swelling of both ankles is due to a variety of diseases including heart failure, low blood proteins, liver failure, pregnancy and other systemic diseases.  Swelling of just one leg is due to some type of venous or lymphatic blockage in that leg, or possibly a growth in the pelvis or groin on the same side.

A number of possi--: Bilities, including rheumatoid arthritis due to the bilateral involvement of multiple joints; other types of arthritis. Sometimes viral infections can cause multiple joint swellings/pain.
Need to see pcp for onward referral to a rheumatologist, who can diagnose/treat such conditions.
You needs xrays, labs and likely joint fluid to help aspiration to DX or rule out other diagnoses.

evaluate and monitor blood pressure and ekg and cardiac functions. Also, want to evaluate and monitor blood flow to limbs.

Watch dietary intake of high sodium foods that may contribute to fluid retention.

Elevate limbs above level of heart during hours of slumber.

Wear therapeutic compression stockings or garments.
