Anemia: Anemia causes decrease delivery of oxygen to all the tissues of the body. It is important to find the cause of the anemia so we can correct it. For example is is due to : iron deficiency, colon cancer, any cancer, anorexia, leukemia, lymphoma, low thyroid, sickle cell anemia, etc ...Anemia may cause heart attack, stroke as well.

Depends: Blood counts generally describe three types of cells.  Anemia would be low red blood cell numbers, and this could be "low blood counts".  But low blood counts could describe additional blood cells that are low.  These results should be discussed with the provider that order the blood count.

Likely not: At the end of the third week, 60 mIU/ml is usually within the normal range (however, specific number will depend on the lab).

HCG is frequently used to assess the viability of the pregnancy - with the levels doubling every 48 hours in the early stages of the gestation.  Thus, a single value is rarely clinically useful other than to identify that a pregnancy exists or existed.

Fatigue & activity..: Intolerance stem from oxygen delivery to the tissues inadequate to meet the demands of those tissue under load. Oxygen is delivered to tissues bound to hemoglobin, which is packaged into red cells so that blood viscosity is low enough to permit flow through the smallest vessels (capillaries). Oxygen is needed for us to generate energy by oxidative metabolism. Not enough oxygen = decreased energy.

Broad range: There is a broad range of normal values for HCG in early pregnancy, and overlap between normal and abnormal levels. Rather than relying on an absolute value, the change over two days is a better indicator of health.  An increase of 65% over two days is can be normal.

Lack of red cells.: Anemia is a lower than normal concentration of hemoglobin in blood.  Hemoglobin is carried by red blood cells, and our test measures the total amount of HGB carried by all red cells in a volulme of blood.  A low white blood cell count is leukopenia, and a low platelet count is thrombocytopenia.

Correlation yes, yet: very variable. If we bleed, internally &amp;/or externally, then blood volume drops-Short Term &amp; up to ~1/3 volume can be compensated for via venous constriction short term, without RBC count change. However, low intravascular volume immediately begins recruiting extracellular water from tissues back into vascular space gradually ↑ing volume &amp; ↓ing RBC count over next many hours. Complex relation.

You can have: Low iron without anemia, but if the iron is not corrected the anemia will develop.
