: Generally physical activity restrictions are usually restricted to avoidance of heavy lifting for about 2 weeks. If your next day postop swallowing study went well you start on a soft diet for 3 weeks&amp;after your postop office checkup, you'll get instructions on physical activities. Sexual intercourse,&amp; I assume rectal intercourse, is OK if it doesn't produce discomfort. It's best to get MD's OKtho

Not commonly: Mistaken but could be. Usually an abscess in the peri-anal area is quite painful ; progressively gets worse over a few days. A hemorrhoid condition could cause a pressure feeling, but would not be very bad. An abscess is usually very painful.

I doubt it: Women rarely have inguinal hernias - that's usually a guy-thing. This pressure sensation makes me think you may be having a combination of constipation and a rectocele, causing an out-pouching of the rectum into the vagina with difficulty passing stool. It sounds like you may need an exam to sort out your pelvic anatomy, especially if you are having pain or bowel/bladder functional difficulties.

No: The key to healing in an inguinal hernia is time without straining. Generally we say 4-6 weeks before strenuous exercise. While no real guidelines exist for sex , i would avoid it for at least a couple of weeks and immediately stop if there is any pain
