hello,i have been on narcotic medication for about 10yr for chronic intractable pain.what vitamins/amino acids are being depleted? i  had gastric bypass in 2010 to reduce weight on my spine.issue=absorbtion. what do i eat to make sure i absorb meds?

Bypass: B12 and Folate are often sacrificed in Gastric Bypass and I would  consider supplementing that. As to medications, I would talk to your doctor. I do not see your meds listed. Medications with or without Gastric Bypass have different absorption. Some with foods or not and some interact with different medications.

Yes: Amino acids are building blocks for numerous neurotransmitters.  Anti depressants, blood pressure medications and other drugs can be influenced by amino acid supplements.

are there any interactions or concerns regarding taking the amino acid l-tyrosine and the thyroid med synthroid?  drug interdiction sites dont have much on the two together as one is a drug and the other i guess isnt. mixed chatter on the subject.

L-tyrosine: This amino acid is one of the basic amino acids your thyroid uses to make thyroid hormone. If you are taking synthroid this can lead to excess thyroid in the serum and signs of hyperthyroidism.  Some times a provider will do this to improve response to thyroid replacement, but should probably not be done unless your provider thinks this is appropriate.

: It often takes months to conceive. Those medications won't help at all. They are entirely safe, no problem having sex if you continue taking them. Fertility evaluation is recommended if a woman does not conceive after a full year of regular unprotected mid cycle sex. If it has already been a year, see a gynecologist or infertility expert. If not, do that after a year has passed. Good luck.

Diet &amp; exercise: 100 grams of protein daily is the basal required. Amino acids are proteins &amp; v.v.. You don't need more protein  except for extremely stressful exercises and then you only need an ounce or so more.  Your stomach is built to break down proteins into amino acids.  Save your money and eat a Big Mac. It will be just as beneficial and taste better &amp; you  can take it before,during or after workout.

Why do you need this: High doses of tyrosine have been reported to cause restlessness, anxiety, and rapid heart beat. The branched chain branched-chained amino acids are most important in maintaining muscle tissues and preventing muscle breakdown with strenuous exercise. If you have liver or kidney disease, you should not take in high doses of amino acids. But, I can't really see why you are using this.
