hello,i have been on narcotic medication for about 10yr for chronic intractable pain.what vitamins/amino acids are being depleted? i  had gastric bypass in 2010 to reduce weight on my spine.issue=absorbtion. what do i eat to make sure i absorb meds?

Bypass: B12 and Folate are often sacrificed in Gastric Bypass and I would  consider supplementing that. As to medications, I would talk to your doctor. I do not see your meds listed. Medications with or without Gastric Bypass have different absorption. Some with foods or not and some interact with different medications.

You don't: Amino acids are the building blocks for protein.  So some people believe that taking the smaller units and not needing to break them down like you would protein foods, helps you build more muscle.  Typically not true.  Eat well balanced and maintain hydration which is more important.

Most proteins: Some of the vegetable protein sources are short on one or another amino acids but you can mix them if you're a vegan and get what you need. The animal protein sources (red meat, fish, milk, poultry) are well balanced.
