Ama can also be present in fatty liver disease and autoimmune hepatitis (aih).  Some patients with pbc are ama negative.  Other markers, including anti-nuclear antibody, can point to aih also.  The gold standard is liver biopsy, this should be discussed with your hepatologist.

Poorly controlled pre-pregnancy diabetics have a much higher risk of having infants with congenital anomalies.
