what kind of contacts are for almond shaped eyes? i bought 8.6 colored contacts and i have 20/20 vision. they were big on me but they didn't bother me

Accepted Answer

Not related to...: Contact lens come in different curvatures, different widths (diameters), different materials (leads to different water content and oxygen passage). An eye doctor needs to examine and measure the eyes. It is not related to "almond shaped" anything!

No: Individuals with almond-shaped or Asian eyelids tend to have a fold of skin that covers more of the side of the eye near the nose.  It can give the impression that the eye is turned in, but this is rarely the case. Babies often have a similar appearance because the bridge of the nose is flat at birth, which allows more skin to cover the nasal part of the white of the eye until the bridge grows.

i am a 25 year old male, almond size lymph nodes throughout my body and brusing only around both my eyes, the left one worse than the other. what are the most likely causes, i know it very serious, neuroblastoma, leukemia, amyloidsis, myeloma? please

Lymphadenopathy: Generalized lymphadenopathy is actually more associated with a viral or more of a systemic process. Collagen vascular disease, HIV, CMV, common cold, EBV, Toxoplasmosis.  Leukemia and lymphoma possible too. Neurolbalstoma usually presents locally and is more a disease for younger children. I would encourage a visit with your provider.

i am certain i have a blood cancer. i was exposed to a lot of formaldehyde as a child. almond size lumps all over body, discoloration around eyes. what specific leukemia and lymphoma does that chemical cause? wbc 3.2. young male. symptoms 2 years.

Get studied: This site does not offer diagnosis or treatment. Formaldehyde may or may not be an issue. It is one of many breakdown products of alcohol ingestion so many are exposed through life. If this is interfering with your enjoyment of life get a good workup done. A WBC as listed is not specific for anything.

i have two almond size lymph nodes by the far side of each pec. and both eyes seemed to be bruised, one having swelling above the eye lid. wbc 3, platelet, 147,000. ct scan normal. what other tests should i have done?

Everyone's different: Some people have longer lashes. Others have shorter lashes. There's no "natural" substance to put on the lashes or eyelids to make eyelashes grow more than they would naturally grow by themselves. If a person is wanting to try something, she can ask to try Latisse (bimatoprost) (prescription needed), which is an eyedrop medication to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.

Could be a cyst: could be a cyst, or a lipoma which is a benign fatty tumor,or a oil gland cyst ,there is nothing else possible in this location.
nothing to worry about ,if it becomes infected, or larger see a doctor.

Exaggerated: Astigmatism is typically when you're cornea is more football shaped than spherical, but it is only slightly in that shape.  We describe it as football shape so patients understand better.  Even with severe astigmatism, your cornea will still 'look' round to you with your bare naked eye.

what's a good way to cure dark circles round the eyes?

Cool soaks: Dark circles occur when the blood vessels beneath the skin show through in those that have thinner skin in this area.  Allergies can make this worse.  Use allergy meds as needed and try cool soaks to the area.  You can probably make it better, but not get rid of these entirely.
