Mgt: A virtual consult may be helpful to you and your PCP. I would suggest including your imaging and PFT results. Your allergies may be a separate problem. There is also asthma COPD syndrome which can be considered.

Possible: Is there a difference between red or white wine.  Also, do you notice a difference with eating or not.  You could have food allergy, but wine is an alcohol and that can make you more prone to reflux.

Possibly: It's best to be sure as having anesthesia and surgery when there is active infection or even significant congestion of nose,sinuses or bronchial tubes is not recommended. See your physician for a preoperative examination and abide by his or her advice.

im taking doxycycline and hydroxyzine at the same time, one because to help with an allergy and another one for a bacteria. but im not feeling good, i feel heavy, like chest heavy, like im going to throw up, and im scared to keep taking it?

Yes: Coughing can injure the intercostal muscles (between your ribs) and your pain DOES sound muscular. Ibuprofen, naproxen, full dose aspirin, or possibly even acetaminophen, plus rest, heat, massage and time should all help it get better.

4yo with peanut & egg allergy & has eczema. he says his chest hurt & itchy & he breath quite loud, is this one of the asthma symptoms?

See a doc: These symptoms could be the sign of a serious allergic reaction if the child accidentally ate one of the foods s/he is allergic to.  It could be asthma, but the itchy chest does not match this diagnosis, unless that is the way   the toddler is describing "shortness of breath".  Seek medical assistance immediately... Call your pediatrician.

hello, a few months ago i developed excess phlegm in lungs and it has become a real nuisance. i am a healthy 59 year-old, fit and a total non-smoker (i don't smoke anything). i believe it maybe allergy related?

: It is possible that allergy related if you usually have similar symptoms same time of the year or in similar circumstances. Otherwise unexplained symptoms lasting more than few weeks have to be questioned and starting with your doc for an exam and detailed history will be best at this point.

Asthma Specialist: Asthma specialist usually are  allergist as well. Asthma is mostly allergy induced. Asthma specialist can do allergy test as well.
