Possilbly: Itching of the skin is a reaction due to some type of irritation.  This irritation could be due to allergies, infections, insect bites, etc.  Best to see your family doctor or dermatologist for an evaluation.

Not always: I am answering the question that i often get about armpit stinging with deodorant, this can be immunoglobulin e mediated allergy or cell mediated allergy (delayed type hypersensitivity, or type IV sensitivity) or merely irritation. A patch test can determine delayed type hypersensitivity, ige allergy is less commonly tested, irritation is diagnosed by the lack of other mechanisms.

i broke out in puss filled bumps under my armpit i thought it was an allergic reaction  but now is spreading under my breast and leg what may it be ?

Hidradenitis: Infection of the follicles around the hair can present with similar symptoms. See your doctor for evaluation and treatment. If treated early, it can prevent scarring

ive had a small, itchy rash and hard lump in my armpit area for a month now. i dont know if an allergic reaction to a deodorant could cause this or when/if i should see a dr to check for cancer. i am still using same deodorant twice a week. ?

Possibilities: This can also be caused by a fungus that has been transferred to the site on your fingers. There are lymph nodes and glands under that skin &amp; they can become infected or react to stimulation there. Moist heat may permit enough improved blood flow to allow the area to heal, but you may just need to have the site examined. Cancer would be very far down at the bottom of the list of possibilities.

Maybe: Itching is a common symptom of disease. The most common cause is dry skin. How to tell itching due to allergy from other causes of itching? Allergic rashes are always associated with a rash - hives, eczema, contact dermatitis. No rash? Think thyroid, hormonal, liver or kidney disease. But first try moisturizing with an unscented cream or ointment.

IM shots are painful: Any time you get an intramuscular injection with a large amount of medication it is going to be painful.  Try taking some ibuprofen.  If it continues to hurt, see a doctor.

Keratosis pilaris: Keratosis pilaris is a common condition where one gets rough bumps on the back of the arms and/or anterior thighs. It is purely a cosmetic issue and there is no harm in having them. Unfortunately, there is no cure. Typically, the hair follicle gets plugged resulting in rough flesh- or pink-colored bumps. Some can be helped by exfoliating the skin (i.e. Loofah) and using an exfoliating cream.

just started taking a new medication (hydroxyzine) and now my left arm is starting to get a rash. could this be an allergic reaction?

: Hydroxyzine can rarely cause a rash. Ironically it is prescribed to treat allergic rashes. If it's the cause of a rash I would expect the rash to be widespread though. Nevertheless I recommend that you discontinue it, notify your physician who will examine the rash &amp;will help you sort out the diagnosis and then recommend treatment.

Cut and Allergy: Allergic contact dermatitis (acd) due to topical antibiotics is very common. Neomycin and Bacitracin are in the top ten most common allergens to cause allergic contact dermatitis.

allergic reaction to a deodorant ( arrid xx ) i have clear leakage from under my arm. i also have itching and when i touch other parts of my body small bumps are now appearing. i'ved tried baking soda, anti fungal cream, anti itch cream.

This : This sounds like contact dermatitis which is a common problem and should be evaluated by a dermatologist.
