is there a home remedy for a rash from an allergic reaction to soap?

Yes for minor rash: If you truly have contact allergy caused by soap, the first step is to avoid the product. Overuse of soap can cause irritant dermatitis due to over-drying the skin.  Fragrances and preservatives in soap can cause allergic contact dermatitis.  If product avoidance and over the counter Hydrocortisone do not improve your rash, see you dermatologist.

Keep area clean: The reaction is most likely an irritant reaction from the razor.  Depending on the area of the bumps, i would just try keeping the area clean with soap and water first.  If it was bad and would not go away, you could try an over the counter Hydrocortisone cream.  I would not use this treatment on the face or private areas.

Photo would help: The characteristics of the rash are very important to determine the cause. If you can share a photo here on Health Tap- there may be a dermatologist or other doctor who can identify it for you. I wonder if the rash comes and goes or is there all the time? What parts exactly on your body is it found? What exactly does the rash look like? Can you describe it... many Q's but needed to find diagnosis.

Dry skin: Or ? Scabies, unlikely though, use cream soap and moisturizers liberally all over, if itching persists, see your doctor

Dry skin: In the winter months, the first thing I consider would be dry skin. Try using unscented soap and apply a skin moisturizer all over within 3 minutes after bathing to see it this helps . It may take a few days for the skin to calm down. If problem persists, then need to consult a dermatologist or allergist.

Soap there?: Why are you using soap in your vagina in the first place?  It may disturb the acidic environment of the vagina and cause you trouble. Water should do a good cleansing job.  There should be a course in vagina  maintenance 101 in the community colleges.

Contact dermatitis: Antihistamines may help the itch that occurs with allergic rushes, but allergic contact dermatitis often responds best to topical steroid creams.

Document, Follow up: Make sure you take a picture of the rash while it is present with your smart phone so that a physician can have a better sense of the type of rash you have developed while using this soap. Stop using the soap. Make an appointment to see your primary doctor or an Allergist and bring product in so that testing can be performed if indicated.

Hard to say: Bumps are hard to sort out without looking. This could be ass simple as pustules at the base of hairs in the area, or an early form of warts from HPV.There are other possibilities, but these are the first that come to mind.
