Possible bacterial: Viral gastroenteritis are often benign, and self-limiting. However, bacterial gastroenteritis or dysentery requires antibiotic for definitive treatment.  Untreated bacterial infection of the gastrointestinal tract can lead to Long and short-term complications, including diverticulitis, perforated viscous, toxic megacolon.  Evaluation and testing by physician can reduce avoidable complications.

Unrelated: Constipation occurs when the large bowel extracts more water from the fecal material approaching the exit. It is aggravated by less than optimal frequency or amount of emptying, diets without fiber &amp; other factors. Increasing frequency, fiber or use of water retaining materials like Miralax can help. Gas is a product of germ feeding on gut debris. Probiotics usually help.

Probiotics: Align is a strain of the Bifidobacter bacteria.  We don't quite know how probiotics might work. They likely have several effects.  They could occupy their own niche in the microbiome, stimulate the immune system to be more tolerant, influence the growth and metabolic activity of surrounding bacteria, produce their own products to improve gut health by fortifying tight junctions, etc.

all ive seen includes pro and pre biopics.
is it ok to take align and digestive enzymes if includes probiotics also?

: There are basic definitions to remember. Prebiotics are anything that supports germ growth &amp; are generally a waste of money, germs can live on undigested foods. Probiotics are safe germs that grow in volume to push out the unsafe germs. Digestive enzymes just aid your digestion. You cannot overdose on these, but some are less helpful than others.

No problem: Align is simply a pill containing "seeds" or colony forming units of beneficial bacteria that help balance the other bacteria you ingest from feeds/off fingers. It is really not a drug and does not interfere with them.

After meal: it safe to assure the probiotics are protected from any reduction in potency due to stomach acid by taking them after a meal has been consumed
Probiotics should not be taken directly with a hot drink.

Probiotics should not interfere with other medicines or herbal / natural remedies.
It is advised to drink plenty of water whilst taking a course of probiotics

The Align: Probiotics are commonly recommended to restore/maintain healthy gut flora.  I am not so sure this will help directly with lactose intolerance.

It depends.: ... on how severe your lactose intolerance is and how much milk is actually in the product. If you decide to try it, I would begin with only one capsule at a time, and adjust it accordingly if you're able to tolerate it. Alternatively, you could try a different probiotic. It is also not clear that probiotics in general will help you. It may be worth a try though. Good luck.
