No hard data: Interesting question.  Imiquimod is externally used for condyloma (warts) as you already know.  There have been no studies showing what you ask.  Now...Thinking logically...Anything that causes irritation or a break in the skin surface should put one at higher risk to acquire hiv..Especially when its associated with a mucous membrane.  So i would say yes...But there is no data to support this.

See a doctor that is comfortable administering the medication before you apply this medication on your own.

Sometimes: you are correct in thinking that Aldara works by stimulating the body's immune response, it is most effective when applied directly to the involved lesions, but theory is that once the body's immune system  learns how to destroy a specific type of lesion (wart, skin cancer), it will also work on similar lesions elsewhere; however, this effect is not consistent
