Don't believe so: Hi. I'm not a gyn, but I use a fair amount of spironolactone, and I've never heard of it causing melasma (mask of pregnancy). I hope some gyn will correct me if I'm wrong.

Spironolactone: oral: Taking spironolactone orally will not affect your serum content of pregnancy hormones, since the test ( HCG) is very sensitive, and even with a mild diuretic the hormones are detectable with the test.

doctor prescribed spironolactone 50 mg  for my acne and i been taking it for about 5 months and a few days ago i find out i am 11 weeks pregnant which i find out you should not be pregnant on this medication, would this pregnancy be safe to have ?

These range from A=safest to X=never safe.This is a category C drug meaning there is no clear data showing harm but not enough research to assign a safer rating. It is common to use when the benefits outweigh risk. I would discuss this with your OB.

Yes: Lisinopril should be avoided if there's any chance of pregnancy as there is risk of fetal damage and death. Spironolactone has anti-androgen (feminizing) effects and also should be avoided. Metformin is very low risk and okay to use.

See below: Saw palmetto - alternative medicine supposed to be beneficial in preventing prostate enlargement. Also used in bladder disorder and common cold. 

Aldactone- used to treat resistant hypertension in obese pts, in pts with hyperaldosteronism, hypertension and sleep apnea patients, in some pts with increased protein loss in urine, congestive heart failure and liver cirrhosis pts with fluid retention.
